About the college
After the political change in 1989, the doors of Nepal are opened for gospel to be preached liberally. In this opportunity, along with the true churches, various churches and false groups are involved to forward their ministries in Nepal. And the charismatic and ecumenical groups are spending a lot of sources to establish Theological Colleges, Publications and Churches. As a result there are more than 200 churches today in Kathmandu Valley only. Among them some of the churches are leading a great number of churches in a nationwide form. Due to the lack of sound doctrines and proper trainings there are doctrinal controversies and confusion among the Christians. The false teachers and the cults such as Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, Christa-Delphians are leading the people to the false doctrines and practices. The name of God is blasphemed through them.
By the will of God the biblical churches were established in Nepal in 1980s and they are still preaching the word of God boldly. But they have many limitations since there is lack of enough Bible Teachers and Preachers. There is a great need of well trained Bible Teachers and preachers for the Biblical Independent Churches of Nepal. For this purpose we had been praying for a Bible College since a long time. We were even running Ebenezer Bible Institute under the ministry of Kathmandu Baptist Church ‘Ebenezer’ since 1988 to train the people to produce Bible teachers and preachers. It had given us a good result. Around 40 people were trained through the Institute but we were praying for a Bible College for greater capacity and institution so that we may able to train more students with greater abilities. God heard our prayers and South Asia Preachers College is established today. Today we are proud of South Asia Preachers College that it is going to be a blessing for Nepal preparing qualified Teachers and Preachers sending to the varies parts of the country. And it can be a great blessing even for South Asia. We hope that the people might be trained and be sent in the ministries in great number and capacity to fulfill the needs of the Country and the region. In God it is possible.
South Asia Preachers College is for all the biblical churches of the country and the region. They can join and study a valuable teaching and be prepared for the Lord’s ministry. Let’s pray that the college might be a great blessing for this nation and this region of the world. Amen.
